The series of 7 canvases called Negative Noise, develops the idea of recording-sound through capturing sounds with gradual dissonance on screens of oil-carved recordings. As a tribute and reference to the first wax sound recording media, it is a natural and shiny material that I wanted to use to transmit through eye/ear synaesthesia, the intuitive and haptic perception of rhythmic and saturated frequencies. As the canvases develop, the sound becomes noise and saturated, flirting with the idea of glitch.

Slowly the material thickens and overflows, the support scratched by the violence of its recording, erases and rewrites itself, participating by itself in the production of its experimental visual mass.

Negative Noise is a series in perpetual evolution that will continue under various media and media to develop oil-initiated questions, thus transferring the issues to other fields and practices with Saturation.
